iCloud and sharing

How does iCloud sync work?

Turn it on during setup or later in You → iCloud. Deno then keeps a copy in your own private iCloud, so your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account stay in step. Apple runs iCloud; we cannot read it.

Deno works fully offline. Changes sync when there is a connection. If your iCloud storage is full, new entries stay on your iPhone and sync once there is space.

Turning iCloud off asks whether to keep the copy in iCloud or remove it. Either way, everything stays on your iPhone.

How do I share with my partner?

Partner sharing is part of Deno Pro. Your partner doesn't need Pro.

  1. Open You → Share with your partner.
  2. Choose what to share, part by part: Off, View or Log. Log means they can add entries too.
  3. Pick your partner by their Apple Account email or phone number, and send the invitation by Messages, Mail or AirDrop. Only that person can accept.

Sharing works when you both have iCloud and iCloud Drive turned on. Your journal and photos stay private unless you turn them on. To change what you share, or to stop, go back to the same screen; Stop sharing is at the bottom.

Deno Pro and purchases

How do I restore my purchases?

Open You → Deno Pro and tap Restore purchases at the bottom. Use the Apple Account you bought Pro with. Deno checks your purchase with Apple on your device; there is no account with us to sign in to.

Does Deno Pro work with Family Sharing?

Yes. Family Sharing is on for Deno Pro, so one purchase covers your family. Members of your Apple Family Sharing group get Pro on their own iPhone; if it doesn't show up straight away, they can tap Restore purchases.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In Deno, open You → Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Deno and tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to stop the next charge. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Afterwards, partner shares, widgets and the watch app you already set up keep working; new shares, more babies and photos beyond 50 need Pro again. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Does the Apple Watch app need Pro?

Yes. The watch app is part of Deno Pro, together with widgets and Control Center. Logging on the iPhone is always free.

Open Deno on your iPhone once to connect your watch. The watch talks only to your iPhone and keeps nothing of its own. During a pregnancy, logging from the watch opens after the birth.

Your data

How do I export my data?

Open You → Export your data. You get everything as CSV and JSON, with your photos, ready to save or share. It's free, at any time.

How do I delete everything?

Open You → Delete all data. It removes every log, journal entry and photo from your iPhone and from your iCloud. This can't be undone, so export first if you want a copy. If iCloud can't be reached, nothing is deleted; try again when you're online.

How do I pause a profile?

Open You → Pause this profile and tap Pause. Reminders, “on this day” and the age display stop at once, and the companion goes away. Your logs and journal stay. No reason is asked. Resume any time in the same place.

During a pregnancy, You → Pause the weekly pages turns off the week display, the weekly pages and the fruit right away. Your journal and notes stay.

Why doesn't Deno give advice or show percentiles?

Deno shows what you logged and nothing else. It doesn't tell you what to do, doesn't predict and doesn't compare your baby with other babies. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere but your iPhone and, if you turn it on, your own iCloud. Deno has no servers and no analytics. The privacy policy has the details.
